LWD: The "Little White Dress"

Coco Chanel may have made the "Little Black Dress" an icon in women's fashion, but for brides, it's the "Little White Dress" that's key. Obviously, it's traditional to wear a white or ivory gown on your wedding day, but what about all the other wedding-related events you have leading up to the big day?

We've already written on here about the Watters Encore Collection as well as some other little white dresses that we carry in our store, but it's becoming such a huge part of our in-store collection that we thought we'd write another post about it. This time, we've styled a couple of our dresses for different bridal events!

First up, we decided to create an informal bridal look:

Our bridal stylist Olivia looks so sweet in this dress by Watters called "Spruce." We're obsessed with the illusion back and all those pearl buttons!

We styled her in a birdcage veil, sparkly bracelet and earrings and simple ivory peep-toe pumps. I can picture her at a courthouse ceremony, or an intimate backyard wedding, can't you?

For our next look, we chose another brand new dress by Watters called "Alder":

We pictured Olivia wearing this to her rehearsal dinner, so we kept it bridal, but not over-the-top. The accessories were all composed of gorgeous pearls- from the simple drop earrings and necklace to the pearl-encrusted clutch.

Finally, we put together an elegant bridal shower look using yet another of the Encore dresses from Watters. This one is called "Hawthorne" and we think it is so sophisticated and perfect for any number of wedding-related events:

See what I mean? Isn't this dress just elegant and sophisticated? We're obsessed! It's so stunning that we felt it didn't really need much in terms of accessories. We kept simple pearl drop earrings and the same ivory peep-toe pumps for a classic look from head to toe.

We had a blast putting these wedding-event looks together today, but they are only a small sampling of the little white dresses we have in stock right now. No matter what neckline, silhouette or fabric you're looking for, we can practically guarantee there will be something here for you.

Call us today to schedule an appointment or go to our website and make an appointment request online- finding your LWD can be as fun and exciting as finding your bridal gown!
