Weddings Empowered

One of the trickiest things about planning a wedding is that most brides don't have much experience doing it. The learning curve on planning a wedding is pretty intense, and not everyone has time to scour the internet reading every blog and how-to guide out there. Fortunately, for brides in the seacoast area, there was an event to help them gain loads of practical wedding-planning knowledge directly from the professionals themselves!


Earlier this month, about a dozen wedding industry professionals offered a two-hour long panel discussion for brides and their families. Everything from limo services to hair and make-up artists to wedding planners and DJs were represented. Our owner, Elizabeth Dirom was there to offer advice on wedding attire for the bride and groom.

The most frequently asked questions of each vendor were answered in a clear and concise way and there was a time at the end of the presentation for attendees to approach individual professionals and ask more specific questions. It's an event that we hope to be a part of in the future and the plan is to hold this type of forum at least twice a year. Unlike a traditional bridal show that is focused on promoting individual businesses, this event was geared towards education and helping brides to understand the industry a little more.
