Toni Federici Trunk Show Starts Today!

At Madeleine's Daughter, we all LOVE accessories- veils, jewelry, headpieces, shoes- we just can't get enough. So you can understand our excitement when all the items for our Toni Federici trunk show arrived today. We already carry a lot of Toni's accessories in our store on a regular basis, but the trunk show allows us to show you even more of her amazing designs. We love Toni because she not only designs beautiful things, but she has a wide variety of items. No matter what your dress- ballgown or sheath, lace or beadwork, ivory or blush- there are pieces that will work beautifully to finish your bridal look!

To give you an idea, we put some looks together using some of our favorite bridal gowns and the trunk show accessories. First, we did a classic lace gown by Watters:

We accessorized Devenport by Watters with one of our absolute favorite Toni Federici veils- "Sunrise." We don't often recommend a lace veil with a lace gown unless they are made to be matching, but because of the design, the lace on "Sunrise" works with SO many lace dresses. It also works with a more plain gown. We love how the detail pops against Ashley's arm and how the dainty ribbon edge mimics the edging of the lace on the gown.
Finishing your bridal look doesn't stop with the veil- you can't forget about jewelry! With such a stunning lace gown, we wanted to keep the jewelry simple and elegant, so we opted for pearls with just a touch of sparkle. The earrings are called "Jasmine" and the bracelet is "Mangia" and they not only work well together, but they perfectly complement the dress and veil.
Our next look centers around this gorgeous slim-fitting ruched gown by Essense of Australia. The satin, lace and delicate beading are quintessential New England details that work just as well in a glamorous Boston venue or a rustic mountain-top farm:
Whether you are getting married in a grand cathedral or a field of flowers, a long veil is a great choice. It adds grandeur for a church setting, but it catches the breeze during an outdoor ceremony. Let's just admit it: all the best veil photos are with long ones! This gorgeous chapel-length veil is called "Grace Kelly" and it features a 1/4 inch double-faced satin ribbon edge. There are of course several color choices for both the tulle and the ribbon, so it's easy to customize this veil to match your dress whether it's white, ivory or champagne!
Matching the delicate beadwork on this Essense dress was actually pretty easy- these earrings, called "Lilly" and this headpiece, "Origami" are made of delicate crystals and tiny pearls. The headpiece will look amazing all on its own when you take the veil off for the reception.
Look #3 is a stunning lace sheath by Allure. The dress is so vintage, we knew the birdcage look would work best:
Simple pearl drop studs and a sparkly fabric flower complete the look and truly take this bridal look to the next level. All the elements work together to create a vintage-inspired look that is classic and modern at the same time.
The veil, appropriately called "Hollywood" has just a touch of dainty sparkle to it. With the amazing crystal details in the flower, called "Fondue," you'll truly be decadent and sparkle from all angles. The earrings- called "Mochi" are the perfect finishing touch- not too much, not too little- they're just right.
For our final look, we wanted something with drama, something a little out of the ordinary. We decided to accessorize this champagne and black gown by Maggie Sottero:
Isn't it stunning? Lots of brides want to make a fashion statement on their big day and color is a great way to do that. We have gowns in different shades of blush as well as some with black accents like this one. You may think it's difficult to accessorize a gown that's in a non-traditional color, but Toni offers so many different colors and styles, we guarantee there will be plenty of pieces that work with your gown.
With a dramatic gown, you can have more dramatic accessories, as long as they all work together. We chose a black feather headpiece called "Ginger" and added a brooch called "Willow" with champagne-colored crystals to it, creating a custom headpiece! The butterscotch tulle of the "Violet" veil matches the champagne of the gown perfectly and the simple cut-edge just melts into the dress. Finally, the glitzy "Ritzy" earrings finish the look flawlessly. All she needs now is an amazing pair of shoes and she's ready! Too bad Toni doesn't design shoes!
